The persons who were responsible for the development of the new “Off-Grid Box” feel that it has the potential to be a “game-changer” in the fields of disaster assistance, developing nations, and individuals who choose to live off the grid.
The box has dimensions of six feet on each side by six feet on each other, and it can be delivered and erected nearly anywhere in the world. It can concurrently affect up to 1500 people, and its source of clean energy and clean water is essentially unlimited.
The solar panels that are attached to it can collect up to 16 kilowatt-hours of electricity in a single day and store any excess energy in batteries so that it may be used even when the sun isn’t shining.
It filters and disinfects the water that it receives from sources such as rain, wells, and lakes using a portion of the electricity that it has collected, which is used in the process. These water sources include rain, wells, and lakes.
Either rainwater could be collected via the integrated components of the system, or contaminated water could be fed to the system directly. Both options are available. Both of these options are up for discussion and consideration.
It may remove salt from water derived from any source, including seawater, making it suitable for drinking.
It can hold up to 400 gallons of water at one time and can purify 260 gallons of water in an hour.
The container’s original purpose was to be put to use in disaster relief operations; nevertheless, it is currently made available to anyone who is thinking about living off the grid.
