Ard Gelinck, a Dutch graphic designer, has been photoshopping celebrities with their younger selves over the past 10 years. He calls his photo series “Then and Now” Ard has uploaded thousands of celebrity montages over the years and has almost 260k followers on Instagram. He uploads new content regularly and is back with new material.
Bored Panda interviewed Ard about his approach to photo editing. The first image he and his brother created was around 10 years ago. However, the project became very popular about 5 years ago. After editing photos of Dutch celebrities, the graphic designer decided to take a look at foreign celebrities. Ard said, “The first was Madonna. She even posted my image on her Instagram.”

Many celebrities have shared Ard’s edits since the Madonna photo, including Tina Turner and Robbie Williams, Sylvester Stallone, among others. The list is called “quite impressive” by even the artist!
