TIN HiFi has made waves with its budget-friendly earphones over the last couple of years.
Their first attempt in mid-tier was the P1s, featuring planar magnetic drivers that offered great sound at an excellent value price. Now they’ve returned with another model called T4 that swaps out its armature drivers for dynamic ones for even better sound – surefire winner?
Currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo, the TIN HiFi T4 will retail for $110 upon its conclusion of crowdfunding.
Utilizing a 10mm dynamic driver powered by high-density N54 magnets that enable quick movement of its diaphragm for natural sound; as well as its third generation CNT diaphragm coil to reduce distortion and provide clearer audio; they use 3rd-generation Carbon Nanotube diaphragm coil for further reduction of distortion and clearer audio reproduction.
As with other TIN HiFi earphones, the T4s feature a turbine design on their shells and come in various colors. I found them comfortable to wear in my ears, yet sturdy enough for everyday abuse.
Their cable is thick yet grippy with an Oyaide 3.5 TRS lookalike MMCX connector for channel coding so you can match up the right cable to each earphone.
The bass response on this model is full and punchy without being overwhelming; moreover, its warmth makes it less recessed than on T2 or T3 models.
Midrange remains neutral without as much detail, and its treble response is fairly balanced without becoming overly bright or harsh as seen with some other TIN HiFi earphones.
At $100, the T4s are incredibly impressive for an earphone of this price point. I was expecting less resolution, yet they outshone most earphones within their price range in terms of performance.
While they can’t compete with top models when it comes to resolution, these still deliver a very clean and detailed audio experience; particularly impressive were their clean highs that stood out as being very detailed and clear.
Overall, these T4s provide an extremely comfortable gaming experience and were definitely my pick of the bunch.

The Fiio FH5s IEM is an award-winning hybrid IEM equipped with two dynamic and two balanced armature drivers and features multiple tuning switches on its back for tuning purposes.
Additionally, its semi-open design provides good isolation even in noisy environments while its modular cable enables compatibility with many sources – all included along with various ear tips, a tool to remove switches, and a carrying case.
The FiiO FH5s produces an engaging midrange-centric and highly detailed treble sound, along with engaging dynamics.
Engagingness comes through in spades; energy and dynamics make for an exciting listening experience; its midrange is very natural with no harshness or fatiguing sounds at all; there could be just a touch more presence in lower midrange frequencies; but overall this product makes an enjoyable listening experience.
I tested the FH5s with various sources, such as mobile phones (with and without active noise cancellation), Bluetooth dongles such as Qudelix 5K dongles, and portable DAC/Amps such as FiiO M15, M12 Plus LTD, and Shanling UP1/UP2. What impressed me most was their neutral and transparent sound signature which brought out the very best from every source I tried them with.
FH5s make listening to rock, metal, and EDM music easy while they also excel at more classical and jazz genres.
Female and male vocals are reproduced with an almost natural sound without muddiness or emotion-inducing distortion; instruments such as violas trumpets and acoustic guitars are reproduced with depth, body, and intensity.
FH5s’ bass is fast, nicely layered, and tight in its presentation, with exceptional resolution, speed, and control when using the Bass Switch with an LC-RC upgrade cable.
In particular, their sub-bass region boasts excellent levels of rumble and impact that make listening to songs such as Gogo Penguin’s Raven or Bro Safari particularly enjoyable. They’re moderately sensitive to tip rolling; with different ear tips, you can alter their sound signature.

One of the highlights of the FD3 earphones is their impressive frequency response of 10Hz-40,000Hz and sound isolation of 27dB, as well as a low 32-ohm impedance that makes driving them easy using mobile devices like Shanling UP5 or Helm DB1. For optimal sound quality use a portable DAC such as Shanling UP5 or Helm DB1.
