The Surface Go 3 is Microsoft’s cheapest tablet family and boasts a lightweight design with the option of being converted to a laptop using its Type Cover keyboard. Furthermore, this model offers support for note-taking with its Surface Pen stylus as well as a more advanced Windows 10 operating system, which offers a cleaner visual style compared to earlier generations of this platform.

Both Surface Go 2 and Go 3 feature identical physical features, including a lightweight magnesium shell and a 10.5-inch PixelSense touchscreen display with a 3:2 aspect ratio that supports multitouch input from multiple fingers as well as pen input with up to 10 points of pressure support. Both screens have maximum brightness levels of 418cd/m2 that display 99.6% of sRGB color space with excellent Delta E color accuracy as well as a 1,475:1 contrast ratio.
Base models start at $400 and feature an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor, Intel UHD Graphics 615 graphics chip, and 8GB of RAM; while premium configurations cost $729 with Intel Core m3-8100Y chipset, 8GB RAM, and 128GB SSD storage – both models also include both 5-megapixel front-facing video chat cams as well as 8-megapixel rear-facing cameras for taking photos and videos.

Lenovo provides an outstanding mid-range tablet in the Tab P11 Plus that has plenty of features that allow it to compete against some of the top tablets on the market. It features a premium metal design, a 2K display with acceptable screen bezels, and a quad-speaker sound system; as well as an impressive processor and “all-day” battery life. However, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack, and some noticeable software stuttering when multitasking or playing complex games.
The Tab P11 Plus is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G90T octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM, making it an excellent everyday choice. However, its performance can lag significantly if too many applications are open simultaneously or playing an intensive game; additionally, it becomes quite hot during inactive periods and takes a while to return from sleep mode.
Geekbench 5 single and multicore scores for the Tab P11 Plus are impressive for midrange Android tablets in its price range, particularly TCL and Samsung models that compete against it.
Like other modern Android tablets, the Tab P11 Plus supports USB OTG and can transfer files between external drives and compatible accessories. In addition, its case features spring-loaded pins with four contact elements to secure keyboard covers; and an optional magnetic kickstand keeps its position when used in landscape mode.
The Tab P11 Plus’ 2K IPS display is both bright and sharp, offering high contrast ratio and HDR compatibility for content. Furthermore, its wide viewing angle offers exceptional enjoyment. In addition, quad speakers equipped with Dolby Atmos technology ensure a rich and enveloping audio experience.
The Tab P11 Plus offers biometric face unlocking via its front-facing camera; however, this doesn’t always work reliably and is only marginally faster than using an onscreen password. A noteworthy feature is the fingerprint sensor located at the back, which works quickly and accurately even in direct sunlight. In addition, Lenovo Accidental Damage Protection covers operational and structural damages to this tablet.

As with many of Samsung’s flagship devices, the Galaxy Tab S8 features the S Pen stylus for taking notes or marking up documents and photos, among other tasks. It comes equipped with an easy clicky action and comes in various colors for maximum customization options. Furthermore, apps compatible with Samsung DeX can use this stylus to transform into something similar to a Chromebook when combined with keyboard and mouse accessories.
The S8 features impressive speakers for a tablet, and offers Dolby Atmos support – although this won’t compare to an actual surround-sound system in terms of volume and clarity, but should suffice for casual use. Furthermore, its water-resistant construction will protect it in case of accidental spillage or breakage.

Performance-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is certainly impressive. Our testing didn’t reveal any lag when switching apps or playing high-resolution games such as Call of Duty; however, its underpowered 750G processor – trailed 83% of other devices on our test bench.
On the plus side, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE offers impressive battery life even without active LTE connectivity. We recorded up to 14 hours of video playback during our tests – an hour longer than on an Apple iPad Air! Furthermore, this tablet boasts an eye-catching 12.4-inch LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate that offers vibrant and colorful visuals; its display may not rival that of its more expensive sibling S7+ which uses Super AMOLED panels with 120Hz refresh rates but still impresses.
As with its more expensive siblings, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE features a magnetic charging pad on its back for charging its S Pen stylus. While not an elegant solution, this solution works effectively and prevents your S Pen from getting lost or dislodged while traveling around. Furthermore, its small size means it can easily be held and used one-handed.
The Tab S7 FE is an ideal option for those who wish to take advantage of 5G connections while not sacrificing speed or storage, serving as an iPad Air replacement when committed to the Android ecosystem. Unfortunately, its lack of a fingerprint scanner, slow facial recognition, limited headphone jack support, no USB-C port, and 60Hz refresh rate could prove detrimental in certain cases.

The Nokia T20 is an excellent Android tablet at an unbeatably competitive price. While not as sleek or slim as Apple iPad Air models, the Nokia T20 still packs in many features at half its cost and will soon receive updates up to Android 13 when that time arrives – perfect if your tablet will be used professionally! HMD Global also promises updates for at least two years from release; great news if using your tablet for work purposes!
The Unisoc T610 chipset and four gigabytes of RAM may not be the most powerful on the market, but they’re more than adequate for browsing the web, watching YouTube videos, playing Pokemon Unite or Minecraft, and performing light photo editing tasks – including some basic image manipulation. To handle more demanding tasks, however, a Chromebook or tablet equipped with support for a stylus would likely be necessary.
I put the T20 through its paces by leaving it set to 100% battery for over 12 hours of playback at 100% brightness; even with that much usage left in it when I finally turned it off, two full charges remained available in its battery pack. If multitasking can be limited and screen brightness remains kept lower, even more juice could remain left for you to use!
As is typical for Nokia phones and tablets, the T20 comes equipped with an uncluttered version of Android with no extra software or bloatware installed – with Google Kids Space providing educational and entertainment apps as well as key Family Link parental controls.
Nokia’s OZO Playback provides immersive virtual reality gaming, while Entertainment Space serves up movies, TV shows, and games from your own library. Unfortunately, however, it lacks keyboard or stylus support which would have made this device much more suitable for work or studying purposes – hence I rated the T20 more as a leisure device rather than a business one.
