Utilizing powerful 200 air-watt suction power it easily captures debris such as cereal bits, pet hair, dust, and more from both floors and furniture surfaces.
This Digital Inverter Motor vacuum features an energy-saving HEPA filter to quickly remove allergens from your home, while also boasting a convenient mopping function to make cleaning up tea or juice spillages easier without needing to use an expansive mop and bucket setup.
Although the Samsung Jet 90 is an impressive cordless vacuum cleaner, its performance in our laboratory tests was less impressive.
Carpet tests found it struggled to extract embedded sand from medium-pile carpet and its dirt compartment was smaller than some other units we reviewed. Still, it makes an ideal everyday cleaner as well as being great at removing stains from both hard floors and carpeted areas.
It outshines the Simplicity S65 in most ways, yet has slightly lower maximum runtime and longer charging time, incurring slightly more recurring costs, and being heavier and less maneuverable.
Tineco PURE ONE S11 vacuums offer better performance; Samsung outshines them both by offering an easier on/off switch and click-in batteries, better performance clearing debris in cracks and crevices, superior mopping capabilities over Tineco, larger dustbin capacity and premium construction; in addition to offering telescopic wand for reaching high spots – not forgetting a one-year parts and labor warranty coverage!

As with many lightweight cordless vacuums, the Rocket does not feature a power cable and therefore makes it much simpler to maneuver around furniture and underneath it than larger models.
At only 4.2 pounds with bin, primary motor, and floor nozzle attached – still light enough for most adults to handle easily – its narrow body design and swiveling brushroll head make maneuvering through tight spaces effortless.
The Rocket produces about as much suction with its default setting as the DC59 in boosted mode, and can even be switched into turbo mode for even greater suction – however, this decreases battery life significantly. Both modes excel at picking up pet hair while its brushroll design makes it suitable for most carpet types.
The Rocket has one significant drawback, which is its relatively limited storage options.
Storage options for this dock include attaching the base of the extension tube and floor nozzle together, though that limits your attachment options and won’t work well with the power cable which needs to be wrapped and secured using prongs included in its packaging.
It can also be stored with its floor nozzle and extension tube connected, though doing so puts too much strain on its power cord, potentially resulting in its breaking or tangling.
Other than this minor drawback, the Rocket makes an excellent lightweight choice for those on a budget – its five-year warranty even exceeds that of most of the lightweight vacuums we tested!

The Shark ICZ362H Vertex Pro is our favorite stick vacuum from 2018, the lightweight and versatile Shark Vertex Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum (IZ682H).
Designed to run in either handheld or cordless upright mode, and with plenty of accessories included. Like its predecessor, it provides excellent performance on both low-pile carpets as well as hard floors.
This updated version is also slightly more powerful, particularly in terms of suction power.
Additionally, its battery lasts 10 minutes longer and its dust bin can accommodate one quart more dirt and debris compared to previous models; its design feels more high-end thanks to a digital display that displays the remaining battery life percentage.
Both the IZ682H and IZ362H Pro offer an outstanding array of attachments and are simple to operate. Both models include a flexiwand for reaching under furniture, turbo mode for sucking up thicker dirt, crevice tools and pet hair brushrolls as well as self-cleaning filters to stop human and animal hair from wrapping around rollers and disrupting suction power.
The IZ362H and IZ362H Pro models boast detachable 2900mAh lithium-ion batteries which offer up to 54 minutes of run time when using DuoClean floorhead on hard floors, or 60 minutes using its most energy-efficient mode ‘ECO’ with DuoClean floorhead and ‘Bare Floor’ surface setting compared to 30-40 minutes when using its most powerful mode (Boost) on carpet surfaces (ION P50).
This represents a significant improvement over its predecessor; which could only manage 30-40 minutes in its most powerful mode with DuoClean floorhead.
This stick model provides outstanding real-world suction performance. It excels at collecting large debris such as sand or baking soda without losing its grip, while it handles smaller debris such as pet hair or rocks quite effectively; though you may need to pass over these multiple times.
The EZ362H and IZ362H cordless vacuums can be quite bulky in their default upright configuration and do not fold away as easily for storage, though they do fold down to approximately half their original size for more portability in handheld form.
They weigh more than other stick models as well, which makes using them in tight spaces slightly awkward.
