The Addon C10 MKII Wireless Bluetooth Speaker System is an outstanding performer in HiFi performance and multiroom HiFi audio, using Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity (plus an ethernet port) to connect to any streaming source available – including MP3 and Apple lossless formats – plus all major HiFi formats like MP3.

Furthermore, this speaker delivers incredible high-quality sound when playing back podcasts, radio stations, or TV shows in high-definition sound quality.

The sleek C10 has been given an overhauled, minimalist design that blends the Scandinavian aesthetic with something both stylish and beautiful.

Available in Coal Black, Arctic White, or Sage Green textured finishes for easy blending into almost any room decor, its top surface houses its main control area including volume/playback controls, source selection/pairing controls as well as power on/off controls; 4 custom preset buttons let you assign playlists/radio stations so they’re easily playable at just one press of a button.

Listening to music through the C10 produces an expansive and energetic three-dimensional soundscape, capable of filling large rooms while offering plenty of bass. We found its bass to be powerful yet taught; providing good depth without becoming buzzy or muddy.

Furthermore, the C10 worked exceptionally well with acoustic rock and power ballad music, with vocals being clear and crisp with plenty of detail audible; overall there was a pleasant sense of warmth which made listening enjoyable.

The C10 can be easily controlled via an intuitive app that gives access to Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Tunein, iHeart Radio, and Qobuz as well as many other services.

With it, you can set custom preset buttons in the app as well as connect multiple speakers for surround-sound systems with subwoofer options available if additional bass power is desired.

Furthermore, Addon speakers allow for HiFi audio across multiple rooms of the home – communication latency being just zero over Wi-Fi connections and 150 milliseconds when connecting via Bluetooth for HiFi audio everywhere – perfect!

  • Built in streaming services include: Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, Qobuz, Deezer, QQ Music, and more.

KEF LSX II wireless hi-fi speaker brings full-size hi-fi system sound quality without cables – offering quiet sophistication and amazing sound quality.

Based on its predecessor’s W2 wireless platform and smart app for setup, control, and streaming from virtually every music streaming service (Tidal included!) or your high-resolution library or CD collection – including Tidal!

The LSX II features two speakers that work in unison to produce a large stereo image and disperse it evenly throughout a room, with listeners sitting anywhere within its boundaries.

Furthermore, its Uni-Q driver array widens the “sweet spot”, for more realistic and detailed audio reproduction with a deep and wide soundstage.

Wirelessly over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, you can stream digital music files up to 24-bit/96kHz for listening via wireless streaming; anything beyond this limit will be downsampled.

When connected through Ethernet directly to a router or switch for higher-resolution playback (up to 24-bit/384kHz), a CAT6 cable must be used – Additional hardware options include hardwareing it into computers or hi-fi systems or creating multi-room sound systems using AirPlay 2 and Chromecast.

CNET editors have an affinity for the LSX II and consider it one of the top wireless Bluetooth speaker systems for home use, especially within its price range.

However, rival systems from Devialet Phantom, Naim Mu-so V2, and Q Acoustics Q Active 200 may offer greater value while providing similar sound quality.

The LSX II is an audiophile speaker with a high-end feel, featuring its elegant rear control panel and carefully chosen design accents.

Available in five finishes: matte satin Mineral White and high gloss Lava Red for audiophiles as well as Carbon Black and Cobalt Blue as well as Terence Conran Edition featuring fabric by the legendary Danish textile designer Terence Conran himself – each offering different qualities of sound reproduction.

The Era 300 is an elegantly designed, high-performance speaker built to serve as an all-in-one audio solution.

Playback over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is supported, along with voice assistant support from Amazon Alexa or Sonos’ own version as well as streaming from Apple devices via AirPlay; individual or pair usage is supported; it can sit centrally within Sonos surround systems or serve as an optional soundbar (Sonos PlayBar).

Installing the Era 300 is effortless thanks to the Sonos app’s user-friendly setup process, with control of playlists, radio stations, and touch controls seamlessly managed through one seamless app.

Touch controls offer volume adjusting volume control while pay-roll and pausing music are managed through touch control as well.

Furthermore, preset buttons allow for fast navigation to favorite radio stations or playlists, there’s the possibility of adding another speaker so each can be controlled independently from either device.

No matter if playing regular stereo tracks or Dolby Atmos content, the Era 300 sounds superb. Capable of producing convincing spatial audio from a single box, its ability to identify background details and elevate voices more than many competitors makes for an outstanding listening experience.

Furthermore, it offers ample reserves of power with impressive tonal consistency across its frequency range and physicality for enhanced physicality in games like Rage Against The Machine’s Bullet In The Head that benefits greatly from deep and rich bass response without diminishing quality – making for an excellent all-around audiophile experience!

Era 300 offers a switch on its back that can temporarily disable its microphone, useful if you’re worried about being overheard or being interrupted by voice assistants.

When playing or pausing audio content, however, the microphone still functions allowing for voice control via mobile device and tablet controls.

Furthermore, there’s a USB-C port at the rear for charging purposes and an Aux input that accepts legacy devices backed by two-year warranties.

Naim Mu-so Qb V2 Multi-Room Wireless

Naim Mu-so Qb V2 Multi-Room Wireless Music System (Black)
  • The Premium Compact Wireless Speaker Your Music Deserves
  • Re-engineered from the ground up to create Naim’s best compact wireless music system yet.
  • New Intuitive Dial - intuitive interface has 15 touch sensitive buttons and a bold, illuminated volume...
  • The updated Naim app allows you to browse by artist, genre, album and more, complete with artwork and...
  • Control volume, light settings, room modes and create playlists.

Mu-so’s latest update of their Mu-so QB cube player brings with it new music streaming technology first seen in their Uniti series integrated amplifiers and then spread across stand-alone players.

There’s Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, and native Tidal support – plus UPnP compatibility and access to internet radio via vTuner!

Similar to its predecessor, this new touch panel controls various connectivity options and an equalizer setting enabling you to adjust treble, mid, and bass frequencies independently.

On top of this, there’s also a play button and track forward/back buttons as well as an irresistibly tactile rotary volume control for repeated turns until your desired volume level has been reached.

Making use of the Qb 2 in a multiroom audio setup is effortless with Naim’s updated app allowing it to easily be added into an already established network comprised of Mu-so products, separate hi-fi amplifiers, or its all-in-one Uniti integrated amps.

Alternatively, Chromecast devices or Google Home ecosystems can also be connected directly for multiroom setups – an all-in-one setup requires two units.

Once plugged in, its impressively large speaker array delivers sound that is both full and spacious without being compressed and stressed like other wireless speakers can. Furthermore, its output adjusts accordingly in order to create an even and natural balance throughout a room.

Like its big sibling, the QB 2 features a stunning design and premium materials, resting on a clear acrylic base with an LED that illuminates its trademark logo in three levels of brightness.

Available in black or terracotta finishes – plus olive green and peacock blue as options – few wireless speakers match up in terms of appearance and functionality to this speaker!

Amazon’s audiophile-oriented Echo Show speaker delivers impressive sonic performance when compared with its regular Echo model, making an impactful statement about Amazon’s commitment to audiophiles.

The result is an impressively powerful device capable of playing back stereo audio as well as supporting Dolby Atmos if used with compatible home theater devices.

This may be one of the more expensive Alexa speakers available, but if music listening is important to you, then investing may be worthwhile.

Alongside Alexa commands, this device serves as a two-way intercom for two-way voice conversations as well as broadcasting announcements into your home and can even be combined with other speakers for surround sound experiences.

Fabric-covered cylindrical speakers contain two two-inch side-mounted mid-range speakers, one 2.5-inch upward-firing mid-range speaker, and five 5.25-inch downward-firing woofers – including an action button, mic mute switch, and volume up and down controls on top as well as apertures around its sides to optimize low-frequency performance.

Despite its massive driver output, this device remains relatively light and portable due to a slot that serves as a bass port.

There’s even an aperture on one side that acts like a bass port to optimize low-end performance even further despite its massive driver output.

It even has buttons that enhance its low-end performance compared to what you would find from most mid-range devices despite having such a large driver output compared with its size compared with similar offerings available from speakers in its size category!

It even comes equipped with buttons including action, mic mute, and volume up/down controls on top with apertures on both sides that work to improve low-frequency performance!

Utilizing this speaker for stereo playback, I found vocals easy to hear without being lost in the mix. Plus, you can play music from many streaming services including Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and iHeartRadio; though a subscription to Alexa Premium may be necessary if using Apple Music.

Like its fellow Echo devices, this is managed using the Alexa app on iOS and Android smartphones.

You can use this to enable Alexa skills, form groups of Echo devices and listen to audiobooks such as Audible or Kindle books; act as a home hub for smart home devices like lights and thermostats; stream TV and radio directly via smartphones/tablets, control compatible smart devices remotely (such as lights and thermostats); check battery status remotely as well as reboot router remotely; setup routines e.g. when you wake up each morning).

Finally, use this app to set and manage routines which consist of a series of commands that run at predetermined intervals such as when waking up each morning or vice versa!

Morel Högtalare

Morel Audio’s Hogtalare speaker stands out in an otherwise overwhelming speaker market with its dedication to high-fidelity sound and aesthetic design. Perfectly fitting Ikea’s popular Kallax and Expedit bookcases, its presence will certainly be felt around any home it enters.

Morel is an established manufacturer with an impressive history of producing top-of-the-line speakers and audio drivers for home, car, and commercial installations alike.

Their products and sound systems have long been appreciated across a range of applications worldwide – including home audio systems as well as car audio and commercial and residential installations.

Morel is known for designing some of the top Bluetooth speaker systems for home use, earning worldwide recognition for delivering outstanding quality and value in their award-winning designs.

Now with their Hogtalare wireless speaker, they have put this experience to use once again to produce something with true hi-fidelity performance.

This design creates the world’s most dynamic Bluetooth Hi-Fi speaker. Constructed using reinforced MDF, two custom tweeters, a 6″ double magnet woofer, fully dedicated amps, and an in-house developed DSP to deliver dynamic and engaging sound that fills any room in which it is placed.

Hogtalare boasts Qualcomm’s aptX codec for Bluetooth connectivity, enabling up to five compatible devices to connect via the interface; users may even connect an additional speaker for stereo pairing for an even bigger sound experience.

Furthermore, this speaker comes equipped with both stereo minijack inputs and a USB port so users can connect turntables and Chromecast Audio devices directly.

If you prefer wired audio sources over wireless, the back panel provides an AUX input and power outlet to directly connect wired sources directly. TWS Bluetooth compatibility also enables two units of the Hogtalare to be combined for stereo playback with pseudo-channel separation.

The Hogtalare is currently available to pre-order through Kickstarter and is scheduled to arrive by August 2019. One unit starts at 133 euros while two can be purchased for 265 euro each.

As with any crowdfunding project, it’s wise to do your research first before making a commitment; Morel Hi-Fi’s reputation should give any consumer peace of mind that this could be an excellent addition to their home audio system.

The Sonos Era 100 is an attractive and stylish addition to their lineup, packed with features yet small enough for bookshelf or cabinet use. Available in either white or black with an extendable grille covering the edges for a clean appearance, this speaker boasts plenty of audio quality while being compact enough for bookshelves or cabinets.

As with the One, Sonos 2 supports Amazon Alexa for smart home tasks as well as their own voice assistant for music playback primarily via Bluetooth streaming from devices or streaming music services like Spotify or BBC Sounds.

At present there’s no plan to add Google Assistant but that may change down the road.

An extremely welcome feature is its line-in functionality, enabling you to pair it with a turntable and listen to vinyl records digitally via the Sonos app. In addition, EQ settings on each speaker can also be customized in order to get optimal audio playback.

Starting up the Era 100 is straightforward: just download and create an account through the Sonos App before linking your streaming services – once that is complete you can begin listening right away!

The Era 100 offers impressive sound quality for such an affordable speaker system. Though not as high-fidelity as Apple HomePod’s $299 offering, it still delivers stereo tracks with a clear separation between left and right speakers.

Unfortunately, it lacks support for spatial audio (Era 300 has this), however, 24-bit streaming from local files or services like Qobuz or Amazon Music Unlimited is both possible with it.

If you want to take things a step further, the Era 100 can also pair with Sonos’s Connect Amp, adding two extra drivers for a fuller sound experience.

However, unlike its battery-powered sibling, the Era 100 requires an AC adapter instead. Unfortunately, while it features a USB-C port for wired connectivity, an official Sonos USB-C to 3.5mm dongle will cost $15 while another adapter might set you back $35 – this seems odd given that other brands such as Apple have included line-in adapters into their HomePods already.

Klipsch Heritage Wireless The One II

Klipsch Heritage Wireless The One II Tabletop Stereo Walnut
  • True Entertainment: The legendary, detailed and dynamic sound you’ve come to expect from Klipsch
  • True Craftsmanship: Featuring real wood finishes and durable metal accents, this timeless Klipsch design...
  • True Simplicity: Perfectly proportioned, the 1 II delivers concert quality sound to any room in your home
  • True You
  • Included Components: Speaker, Manual

The Klipsch Heritage Wireless The One II Bluetooth speaker system resembles a classic HiFi split box stereo in terms of looks and sound quality.

It includes two full-range speakers and a 4.5-inch woofer to produce crisp sound; their wide frequency response minimizes low and high-end distortion for optimal music enjoyment, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, or audiobook listening experiences; their rich bass and treble production means no overpowering or boomy notes either!

This speaker is extremely straightforward to set up and use. You can stream music wirelessly via its built-in Bluetooth feature, while its AUX input can connect devices without Bluetooth functionality.

The user interface is straightforward, making this an excellent fit with various smartphones and tablets; plus there’s a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty to protect it!

Expert testers appreciated how loud this speaker could get, though some found its bass lacking for their tastes. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come equipped with its own equalizer; therefore you must use your smartphone or computer’s equalizer to adjust bass, and mid and high tones accordingly.

While this may be seen as a downside by some it’s actually ideal for anyone wanting an affordable way to create multi-room sound environments without multiple bluetooth speakers and separate sound systems.

Retro style makes this speaker the perfect fit for any room, with its wooden top, speaker grill, and tactile switches and knobs all adding visual interest.

While heavier than most portable Bluetooth speakers, it’s still manageable enough to move around easily within your house without too much strain on you and is only wired-powered; therefore it cannot go outside with you.

Compared to its Sonos Five counterpart, the Klipsch speaker lacks certain features that would make its daily use more convenient and versatile compared to of Sonos Five, such as having no USB charging port or way to access voice assistants.

Furthermore, its interface consists of only two knobs for controlling its speaker.

The Yamaha MusicCast 50 Bluetooth speaker is an ideal option for those seeking a Bluetooth speaker with more features.

Boasting a neutral sound profile and compatible with multiple MusicCast speakers for multiroom playback, its less compression at max volume enables louder volumes without losing quality; furthermore, it comes equipped with a graphic EQ to let you tailor its sound profile according to personal taste.
