While some grandmas like to garden or knit, Concha Garcia Zaera, 87, enjoys a hobby that is quite unusual among her friends. She draws. Only MS Paint is used. After her children gifted her a computer, she discovered MS Paint and has not looked back.
Zaera explained to El Mundo that her husband was ill and she had to care for him. “I started painting small things, first a house. The next day, I would add a mountain. Step by step, I added details and the final result was very beautiful.”
“I don’t have any imagination so I draw inspiration from the cards that my husband used to send me, or other drawings that I like,” Vanguardia reports that Zaera devotes approximately two weeks to one piece, focusing intensely on the details.
Zaera used to post her masterpieces via Facebook. However, one of her grandchildren suggested she use Instagram instead. She had 300 followers on March 9. More than 304,000 people have followed the humble artist as of this post. “I don’t understand why my drawings attract so much attention.
